i-Conserve is a bioinformatics platform transforming the way data is generated, communicated, and shared. Developed jointly by Conservation Solutions Africa and i-Lab Africa, Strathmore University, i-Conserve system is composed of two components, which are the mobile application and the web server. It allows conservation practitioners to design, manage, track, monitor, evaluate and learn from the activities, projects or programs they are implementing so as to effectively meet the objectives and create impact as intended. It is a user friendly. The user-friendly android-based mobile component allows the engagement of citizen scientists and community-based field collections of data, whereas the web-based component enables data-managers carry out assessments of data to produce graphs, statistic analysis for reporting on status and trends observed.
